Lake Vermillion

This is the newest State Park in Minnesota and it's the first time the club has scheduled a trip to the park. The kayaking should be beautiful on Lake Vermilion. As described by the State Park Website, "The park encompasses approximately 4,000 acres of stunning, rugged landscape. The park has ample shoreline and numerous rocky islands coated with lichens and studded with trees."

The park is also home to the Soudan Mine with tours available and the additional potential for lots of good hiking. We may just have a new favorite trip location!

COST $60 per person *Based on an estimate of 15 person minimum going, however, lots more can be accommodated at this State Park Campground.
